well kiddies i hope all are well. have been a might bit busy lately, i have had training evaluations and crap like that!!! the weather has been terrible, its the rainy season here but i hear that it is worse at home. I am grateful and send prayers to Yoshi every time i use my umbrella (a stylish winnie the pooh number care of Yoshi from a stop over in Singapore). Due to bad weather i didnt see the point in climbing a mountain (namely to look at fog) so i have postponed my trip to Aso for a fortnight in hopes of better weather. I have been attending my Japanese lessons dutifully and am even learning a bit!!! I joined the library (I cant afford the english novels from the book store) and have even done a museum or two in the bad weather. of course there has also been a certain amount of bacon and eggs and video watching too (with neighbouring Aussies and me loitering around in winnie the pooh pjs coz all my clothes are wet and dryers havent been invented here yet?!!!). Funny about that too. for a first world nation they are sooooo poor. reason being they have a particular ways of running things that makes change & new things terribly expensive. see propertry taxes are as cheaps as chips (I can feel Amy being envious already) but taxes for buying and selling are extroadinary (said in a cute blinky bill voice). ok & dental & health, it works like this, pain makes us stronger so we will charge you an arm and a leg so you dont use our services so we dont get customers so we have to put the price up in this endless circle. The short point of it being the average Australian has better health cover (Medicare, pensions, concessions ec) and teeth than an upper class Japanese. I shake my head in wonder at it. other than that i am getting used to being stared at, i have always wanted to be the centre of attention and am enjoying myself. until next time, love schmoo
