In the amazing adventures of little schmoo and her trusrtworthy sidekick tigger we left our trusty pair to the rigors of a week at work.
Thursday started slow and steady with a 2 hours waterfront cycle and an evening where little schmoo got to be in charge at work (scared yet?)
Like all good Thursday nights they young adventuresome pair braved the mighty kareoke with no fear.
Closely followed by an early morning wake up call to Japanese lessons (our pair feeling a little worse for wear!).
An amazing morning lesson with our favourite teacher whose off to the land of Oz next week.
Then the rapid cycling to work. A fun filled day of entertaining children, especially young spoilt things who never see the humour of when they pucker their little lips and false tears fall because you said they couldn`t play. Little schmoo finds this weekly tiraid rather amusing much to thir disgust `ah children!!!`.
Friday nite spent teahing UNO and learning the board game `go` before crashinmg late.
Saturday up early for mundane shopping our pair thn braved the dark nastiness of work.
Our young pair are off on an adventure to HITO (hopefully) on Tuesday and to the onsen with the boss (Paul) on Wednesday.
until next time

Well it been another exciting week in Oita land.

I managed to survive some nasty toxic drinking bouts, who invented all you can drink (pay per hour) Kareoke anyway???
And when drinking I seem to think I can actually sing!!!

anyway there are a whole bunch of new JETS (My company`s rival) in town, some cute too but many are pre-uni but they do enjoy good Kareoke so we have had a few nights out on the town, including Monday night (which is Friday for me) when I managed to arrive home just on midday Tuesday much to Alecia`s amusement (After near falling off my bike I decided it was safer to crash at Lucy`s pad in the city rather then try to ride into the sunrise).
I felt just a little silly so to make up for it I have had an amazing weekend of touring and fitness.
On Tues arvo I cycled to Oita Historical museum for a cultural arvo. Its about 5km from my home.

on the way home I cycled past some stone Buddas and a cool shrine and gardens (so I was clever and took some black and white pics, i can`t wait for them to be developed).

Then I cycled on along the Nanase river for about 2 hours through some amazing forest areas before I decided to try to be cultural and draw the scenery.
It was a great day b4 heading home via the sports depo for some cycling gear

Wed;
I got up early (6am!!!) had bacon and potatoe and mushrooms on toast before jumping on the bike and rolling.
I cycled approximately 35km along bike tracks actually they are old roads rarely used now by cars. I wish we had that in Oz it would`ve made that cycling trip easier!
I stopped regularily at vending machines for drinks and picked up some sushi which I ate by the river for lunch (oh so Japanese).

After lunch, somewhat more suntanned I headed home (I re-applied lotion 4 times!!!).
so 70km, am tired but happy as I have seen some amazing mountainous country Japan and beautiful waterviews all day. And of course a cd player with great music!!! (hits of the 60`s, 70`s and 80`s)
until next time
ride safely with good music
