Pay day happy dance day. Although after last night I`m not doing much dancing, in fact I`m not doing much of anything as someone hit the biiru (beer) for the first time in awhile last night. Alas I`m not as young as I once was but that didn`t stop me at Kareoke jumping up and down and belting out the lyrics to Bryan Adam`s `Summer of 69`!!! In my defence though Kareoke in Japan is in small personalised booths with you and your friends (or just you if you like) so you only make a fool of yourself in front of a small crowd.
Poor Matt (Aussie boy arrived a week after me) and Alanna (Canadian girl who arrived week before last) who were forced to endure my singing although I must say that after 4 large jug-like glasses each (with 600mls in each) we all thought we were amazing.
At any rate I made it home at 5am, a definite record for awhile for me, by cycling home and although I didn`t fall off the bike at any stage I woke up this morning with a number of unusual bruises. I haven`t found an explanation for them yet. All things considered it was a great night to let down my ever growing hair and relax but I`ll try to avoid doing such things on school nights again, especially seeing as Matt and I had training today and our trainer commented a number of times on our unusal colour (greenish tinge) and unnatural silence.
All else though has been quiet. I got one day off this week (after 12 days on) so I did a cultural thing and cycled for an hour to the art hall (art museum next week) and did some cool drawings and sketches ad took a couple of arty black and white pics.
Mostly though as its a festival week with bad weather I have stayed indoors and studied Japanese likea good little student.
Oh and most importantly I bought a new shirt for work and a stylish black vest for over the shirt for work and they were of course on special...a bargain I say!
until next time sports fans DON`T DRINK AND RIDE
